Unmatched Quality

Our poker tables are made of very high quality/cost materials. We do not skimp to save a couple bucks on production cost and it shows in our final product. Our rails are constructed with high density 1" foam (solid sheets) and Whisper Soft vinyl. The result is a rail that is so comfortable underneath your elbows that you could fall asleep resting on it... that is if you weren't so deeply entrenched in an exhilarating game of Texas Hold 'Em with your pals! Whisper soft vinyl often sells for three to four times the amount of other options. So why do we use it? Because its quality is unmatched, just like the final product it becomes a part of... an STL poker table!

Our racetracks are constructed from 3/4" oak plywood vs. the standard plywood that most others use. Again, the final product is worth the extra cost. Oak plywood has a nicer look to it but that is far from the only reason we use it. The biggest reason for the upgrade is that standard plywood is softer and gets little dents and pits in it from people dropping things on it (primarily poker chips.) In very little time a racetrack made out of standard plywood will have dimples everywhere and will no longer be an aesthetically pleasing piece of furniture. So bottom line is the oak is more durable and it looks nicer! Win/win...

When it comes to playing surface we use a material called velveteen that we believe offers unmatched value. It performs better than even the finest felts which can cost north of $200 per table!!!

Not too many people think about the padding under that beautiful playing surface but we know just how important it is. We could opt for cheap 1/8" foam or other type of padding but we chose a 1/4" closed-cell Neoprene padding. But why? Why spend more on a padding that you are never going to see anyway? The answer is simple. Spills... Trust me, no matter how careful you are there will eventually be a spill on your table. Other foams will soak that liquid right up which is not at all what you want. The closed-cell neoprene padding is extremely spill resistant and will allow you to soak up most of the liquid before it seeps into your padding. Our table legs and bases are extremely sturdy and durable. The truth is most people do not have an entire room in their house to dedicate to a poker table. That is why our tables with foldable legs are far and away our biggest sellers. However, we have been shocked at how many tables we have seen that are constructed with the cheapest folding legs possible. Sure you can grab a set at your local hardware store for around $30 but is that really what you want holding up your 150 lb poker table? It makes for a very wobbly table and that's not the quality we were looking for. Our folding legs are special ordered and are rated for high weight capacity.

Basically what we are trying to say is that our tables are some of the finest you will find. Are there cheaper options out there? Sure, just go to Ebay and you will find them in spades. But please take it from someone with vast experience on the subject matter. These tables are constructed with the cheapest possible materials and it shows in their final product. I've played on many a table ordered from "discount" vendors and I have never been impressed with one. The quality, or lack thereof, will slap you in the face the instant you begin to use it.

We know that some people will still opt for lesser priced options despite our warnings. Trust me, I get it. The pictures they display look amazing and they are priced so low that sometimes it is hard to resist. For these people we hope they will make an STL Poker Table their 2nd, and last, poker table purchase!
